Jessie Janeshek
is a writer based in Knoxville, TN. A West Virginia native, she holds an M.F.A. in poetry from Emerson College, Boston. Her poems appear in the magazines Washington Square, Passages North, Review Americana, Yemassee, and Caduceus, and have been anthologized in the books Low Explosions: Writings on the Body and The Movable Nest: a Mother/Daughter Companion. She is currently co-editing Outscape: Writings on Fences and Frontiers. 

She is a doctoral student in English at the University of Tennessee, teaches college writing, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Writers’ Guild.
